Transfer of Conditions

Transfer of Conditions

If you have unfortunately lost your passport or had it stolen, or if you have been lucky enough to do so much travelling that your passport pages are full of visa stamps, or you have replaced your passport for any reason whatsoever, you will need to have your visa for the UK transferred into your new, current passport.

For many years people have chosen to merely travel with both their old (if they still have it) passport, which contains their UK visa, as well as their current passport.

This is however not the correct thing to do, and the UK immigration authorities are becoming increasingly stricter and stricter on allowing people to access the UK in this way.

It is therefore vital that you make an application to transfer your UK visa or immigration status document into your current passport.
