Latest Changes to shortage occupation lists
16th April, 2010
The Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) recently published its latest report with recommendations for shortage occupation lists, for the UK and Scotland.
In its latest report MAC has suggested that the pharmacists category on the UK shortage occupation list be expanded, to now include community pharmacists (for private employers),and that orchestral musician jobs, that are not for leaders of principals of internationally recognised UK orchestras be removed from the UK shortage occupation list.
No other changes have been recommended to the UK shortage occupation list and the Scotland version remains unchanged.
The MAC plans to publish its next full review of the shortage occupation lists in autumn 2010.
